No, I'm not big on spontaneity. It says a lot that I came out here tonight. Not that I regret it.

Nope. Plus I'm not much of a stage performer. It's one thing to act undercover or make dramatic speeches to gangsters. I imagine there are people who could sell any voice, but I leave the actual performer roles to some others on my crew.

I have not, I want my brownie points. Though I did like that you gave me an hour timer to prepare to go out. I tried to get stuff done then so I could focus on us now.

I wouldn't. It was a thoughtful consideration.

Of course. ... part of making sure Mack is okay is seeing how the club's profits were this evening and that business ran smoothly, right? My income does in part go towards keeping him in the lifestyle he's getting accustomed to.

He holds his phone out as he thinks Stella would appreciate the response from his spy.]

You seem to have quite a lot of competition for my affections.

I think they want to remind me how good I have it now with you. And that I should let myself enjoy it, for both our sakes.

That is probably true. You should enjoy things on occasion, you have faced plenty of suffering, you deserve at least a nice night on occasion.

That's true.

[His memory is extremely handy like that. While his friends have impressive talents that Kaz lacks, he wouldn't trade his for the world. Though he imagines they feel much the same about those skills that make them who they are.]

I suppose I just meant that I'm not going to turn this into purely a work night. Not after all you've put into this.
