I’ll take it. I know it started out as a joke, but there’s an appeal to going by a name any might have directed towards them.

There's comfort in that kind of anonymity, I think. Like distance from yourself.

There’s that, yeah. Also knowing what it’s like to be one in a crowd of many, considered interchangeable if even noticeable. My name might hold some meaning these days, but it didn’t start out like that. A good reminder, I suppose.
