Personally I think the look is dashing. Sometimes you just wanna change it up, though.

I mean, jaw dropping doesn't involve losing your jaw most times, but I can see that being a lizard equivalent. Don't know how else they'd show their shock adequately, considering.

Some do play dead when threatened, so perhaps they could employ that method to surprise.

I have a feeling you’re more adventurous with your looks than me, in general. Then again, maybe that’s just a byproduct of using so many passing trends to fit in without suspicion.

Mostly the second bit I think. I do always end up back in styles that are old fashioned in one way or another. Time and fashion might march on without me sometimes, but I manage.

You asking if I wanna go with you to see goats faint?

I was just thinking that fashion was one way that vampires could use to blend in. Though there are plenty of humans who don’t follow trends, either.

Tell you what, if I ever need to steal a goat again and head out that way, we can go together.

There are definitely some that are better at it than others. There are also some that will wear leather pants no matter what the fashion is at the time. I'll keep my hippie dippy stuff, though. Blends in well enough most nights, and jeans and t-shirts blend in the rest.

Why did you need to steal a goat before?

Leather pants look extremely uncomfortable. Then again, I’m not a fan of jeans, either. T-shirts I can get behind.

The man who was taking us across the Fold said one was needed. I thought it would be to distract a Volcra should we get attacked, but it ended up being a therapy goat during the trip. Jesper was quite sad to say goodbye at the end. It's still alive to my knowledge, or it was when we reached the other side and left it with someone.

All depends on the fit with pants. It's why I usually end up in skirts.

That's an incredibly sweet reason to steal a goat. I'm glad it made it over, and that it has a new life somewhere. Hopefully still alive, and if not that it was for a good reason.

Flowy skirts do look extremely comfortable. Easy to snag on something, but comfortable.

He was sweet, yeah. Not what first comes to mind as a therapy animal, but I suppose any animal could be one.

That's why we made mini skirts a thing.

Yeah, not everyone can think outside the 'cats and dogs and bunny rabbits' idea of what a sweet animal could be. Snakes are very sweet, too, for example, but most don't even give 'em a chance.

I’ve actually heard from more than one person about snakes being used for therapy. That letting them slide through their fingers helps calm them down.

Horses are also big therapy animals. Less common but I’ve heard of cows doing it, too.

They are precious little things. Angel Hair liked to curl around my wrist while I played, and the first time I got to have temporary custody was back in Denver. She really was a little therapy snake, whether we thought of it like that or not.

I can see both. Any animal, really, so long as it's got the right temperament for it.

She sounds like a well-socialized little lady. I'm sorry I haven't gotten to meet her. I haven't held any snakes in a long time. When I was a little kid I did when I found them. As I think most kids do. Thankfully, none were venomous.

Yeah, to each their own. I'm still not buying Jesper another goat for the house.

She's back in Vegas, but if they comes out to visit I'll make sure you're properly introduced. Catching them out is good, though. We only ever tried to catch frogs.

You could always get him a stuffed one.

I think I named them all 'Frog Junior' and all the ones Sam caught were 'Mister.'

He is highly distractable. Almost as distractable as me.

Don’t underestimate any rodent is what I’d say. There's bound to be some with a disjointed sleep cycle and penchant for distraction.

Took us a minute... I think I was 8? Summer of '51 or '52. Dad found us a book of 'em. It was terrible.

And here I was expecting you to make a joke about bats.

8’s not that bad. I’ve seen some of those pun books, though. It’s definitely starting off at the bottom.

I thought about a pun, but couldn’t be too predictable.

It was definitely a minor competition with us, figuring out better puns than the ones in the book. Kinda think that'd been Dad's plan the whole time, for his own personal amusement.

You say that like predictability would tamper how much I like hearing you do puns.

Given what you said about him appreciating a lie if it was entertaining, that doesn’t surprise me.
