Salty is wonderful, not sure about that combination, but you know, each to ones own.
Potatoes carries so much of Fjerdan cuisine, at least, makes it more filling. Haven't thought about combining sweet with it's salty before, so I might have to try that sometime.
Waffles and fried potatoes are kind of just a me thing these days. I'm all right with that if you end up not liking the sweet and salty combination. Ketterdam is rather known for its breakfast cuisine, but there are a lot of potatoes, too. Fried potatoes and hutspot are a pretty popular choice. Then of course you have all the global cuisine influences we get from being the largest port city. It's a pretty big food city.
Man, I've got to get out and try more different foods it seems. I've been sorta food isolating myself, sticking to what I know I like. Which has served me well, but I am beginning to think I might have missed out on some things. Salty and sweet usually does go well together, at least the cookies I've tried that does that are incredible, so I'm hoping there's gonna be a pattern.
That is one benefit from having spent most of my life in Ketterdam. I learned on the streets not to be a picky eater, but I also was exposed to a wide variety of things by the environment. We can try out different foods here in small increments if you like. There are certain food stalls and restaurants I gladly patronize these days. The food stalls I like especially because the goods can be eaten on the go.
I’d offer to cook but honestly, I’d rather you get a better experience than I could offer. I’m not bad at it, but I have a curry pie connection for a reason.
