Don't get me wrong, I'm not against going barefoot (or naked) but there's limits.

There are times where it's appropriate, sure. I don't wear shoes when I shower in my home. When I lost my shoes when younger though, they were one of the first things I replaced. Living on city streets without them isn't pleasant.
