You know me. I never turn down learning something new. Although I leave most of the sharpshooting to Jesper. I lack yours and his prowess with such weapons, I'm better at finding targets to shoot.

I’ve spent my evening breaking into the University of Ketterdam’s library. Have you heard much on The Council of Tides?

I'll get my notes to you and Jesper then, I'm sure he'd be interested in seeing some of the results. If not to commission some of the ammunition himself.

Ammunition is, forgive the pun, one of the few ways to keep him on target in a conversation.

Just curious. They’re a group of Tidemakers who oversee the waters around Ketterdam. Nothing to worry about yet, but if you hear of any making waves, let me know?

Appreciated. Not that I think all individuals who manipulate elements converse together. I’m sure not all of you can make it to each weekly meeting. [He’s kidding. It’s more about Morgan traveling than that they both have talents beyond what most humans do.]

[Lore dump! No worries on it having to play any large role or anything in what we do, but if curious: Grisha are humans who practice what are called the Small Sciences (AKA, able to manipulate aspects of the world, akin to magic in a way. Often get called witches, for example). Tidemakers are a type of Grisha who can manipulate water. The Council of Tides are a mysterious group of them that control the waters around Ketterdam where Kaz lives. They normally don’t make appearances, but Kaz had some people pretend to be them on one of his heists. At the end of Crooked Kingdom (the book), they want Kaz to cough up info on this person who created a drug that enhances Grisha power (at a terrible cost) that Kaz kidnapped and stowed away to safety. Kaz claimed the guy is dead, they got angry, Kaz manipulated them into a temporary stalemate. So they’re a group he’s keeping an eye on. I tried to condense as best I could so this wouldn’t be insanely long but more info if wanted is here.]

Hah, hey, what's allies for huh? We help each other out. And you tell him I enjoy my drinks either fruity and sweet or sour as all hell.

Ah, see I missed out on the last couple meetings, that would be why I'm not up to speed:P

Kidding aside, I'll let you know if they start making a big splash in my areas, these guys sound just like the type I work against.

I’ll let him know, we have a few on the Club’s menu that would fit that criteria. The benefit of having ingredients imported from all over. I usually settle for straight whiskey, but there are some sour drinks I can get behind. Or get down, rather.

I figured they might be the type you’d want to watch out for, too. Rumor has it they’ve got their proverbial fingers extending across the ocean to other regions. We still don’t know why they’ve kept the land bridge connecting Kerch to Shu Han submerged all these centuries, but if they decide to strip away that protection, it won’t get pretty.

If you need eyes on anything in return, let me know. We get news from all over here, I do my best to parse out any truth on the raids I hear about.

Excellent. I should swing by for a drink more often then. And, same, whiskey sour is usually a safe go to whenever I'm at a new bar.

Right, right. Yeah that would not be a nice sight no, but here's the good thing with being chums with a person like me who does well with ice. Water tends to be my area the second it's frozen, so do call me if there's a scuffle or you anticipate a confrontation.

If you hear anything about a group of Grisha throwing a bit of heat around that would be nice, I've been chasing them for some time, but they have this blasted supernatural ability to get away before I can submerge them in ice.

You’re always welcome, but I don’t take it personally when people get busy. Even I’ve been spending more time in Ravka these days than I’m comfortable with.

I will absolutely keep you in mind. I don’t like being surrounded by water at their command, or Inej being on the water full time. Hopefully I can find something to use over their heads before they get cheeky.

I haven't the faintest of clues, I usually don't get to catch more than maybe a glimpse of them. Nor have I been able to catch anything of what they're saying either. Do you happen to know anything? Or have you heard anything?

I haven't heard anything about a particular group of Inferni I'm afraid, but you know I'll keep my network's ears open and let you know.
