It’s more along the lines of, supposedly, SOMEONE has caught you saying “Hello, Inej” into an empty room. If you always do it, you’ll eventually be right, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I’m afraid I’m simply a man of many talents.

I don’t know who started it, but it’s possible. Not probable, perhaps. But it’s funny.

Clearly I’ve been giving them all too much spare time lately if they’re wasting it on creating tall tales. Though getting Jesper not to ramble is a trick even I’ve yet to master.

[He definitely does not call her name randomly waiting for her to turn up, but it’s to be expected that those who work under him at times try to poke fun at him. To be fair he’s made plenty of jokes at their expense, too.]

Sometimes if you give his hat a funny look he’ll get distracted for a little while making sure it’s set at just the right jaunty angle.

If it’s you I hope they’re at least profitable ones. I’d be very proud and know you learned from the best.

Though to be fair, I’ve mostly dealt with the political and military side of Ravka. Those often aren’t known for their intellectual prowess.
