Though let's be honest here, she knew she really didn't have any room to talk or tease. She was just as bad as Kaz was. Though to her credit, she was relearning what it meant to have some fun in her life that wasn't fighting evil or avenging her cousin and boyfriend.

She was glad she had the opportunity to come back and spend time with her friends. It'd been a little too long and she missed Nina, Jesper, and naturally, Kaz though they'd had time to reconnect when he'd been in New Orleans. Still, it wasn't the same as when she'd stayed in Ketterdam. "I look forward to it," she says with a grin at her. She enjoyed their language lessons and looked forward to baking with her. It would give her a good reason to get out of town more and come by for a visit.

Not that she needed a reason but all the same.

She arches an eyebrow at Kaz and hums unconvincingly. "Of course that's how you meant it. Not that I disagree but," she says with an amused smirk. "I still think you need to count this as a win," she says to Nina with a grin, taking a sip of her coffee.

"I think we're both living for a little more than revenge these days. At least, for the most part, I am. You will need to come and visit me sometime soon and I will show you all of the hot spots to check out. Magazine Street has fantastic finds, I think they'd be right up your alley, and of course the Riverwalk Outlets. The food you would love the most though... the whole city is a food lover's dream."

I don’t know about vampires, but I sweat. Thankfully less so now that the weather’s not quite as sweltering. I think I’d still rather wear and eat things separately.

I won’t deny that holds some amusement, but no, I wouldn’t blackmail you. I suppose I’ll just have to wait for the fangs to pop out and see if I can hear anything amiss.

Likewise, if I hear anything that goes the other way. Consuming another Kindred sounds as cannibalistic as I’m sure it is. Though with humans, nobody actually gains any power when they do it.

Honestly you kinda are. You sweat and need jerky and all sorts of things. Kindred just need a dark spot in the daytime, blood, and ever-present paranoia about esoteric political intrigues.

I'm very impressed! Get in actually sleeping in a bed and you might seem to the uninformed observer to be a fully average person. Great for lulling them into a false sense of security.

I think those are different? There's some Kindred that can learn to see them, like... Colors that float around you. And all the colors mean different things, so they can get good idea of who you are and some of what you've done without you even noticing. Though maybe they can also tell if you're having a migraine.

[The Crow Club is the largest in the entertainment district, though its decoration is sleek and monochromatic rather than the colorful ostentatiousness that usually permeates the area. Black marble and gray pillars, wait staff in uniform that are classy, with gaming halls, a restaurant, bar, and performance area. As promised Kaz is on the premise when she arrives, upstairs working in his office. It takes a little time for him to work his way down the stairs and greet her just inside the entrance. He’s dressed just like his club, in a black suit and gray vest, his silver crow’s head cane at his side. Black gloves cover his hands, and one corner of his mouth dips upwards in a greeting smirk. It’s fleeting and sharp, but honest. It’s more than most get out of him. His gaze is just as discerning as he takes her in, though it’s not leering but rather Kaz likes to make sure those he’s friendly with are doing okay. It’s a short list, but one he rigorously watches over.]
